If a complainant is not satisfied with the broadcaster’s response to his/her complaint, he/she can request that the CBSC examine the complaint under the codes of standards. Complaints are sent to Adjudicating Panels for decision when: a) they raise issues that have not yet been addressed in previous Panel Decisions; b) the outcome of the complaint is uncertain; or c) previous Panel Decisions have determined that the type of content at issue constitutes a breach of one or more code provisions. A Panel Decision describes the facts of the case, the codes applied, the result and the reasons the Panel came to the conclusion.
